A refill for this printer is basically the same as this sale price for the printer so if you plan on using it long term and getting refills you might just want to buy 10...

Not at all!!  I think its a great deal. why pay $30 for a refill when the time comes if you can pay $31 for the printer with a fresh cartridge.  unless you want to buy the ink itself and refill your own cartridges but that gets pretty messy.

Very often the ink that comes with the printer initially is only 40,50% full.
