CMIIW, but I think that this can't be combined with discounts. Meaning, if a certificate for $25 off is reduced to $4, it will still cost you $25 of your gift certificate.
Which makes it not that great of an offer...

where do you see that?
on 1ale.com it doesnt have any fine print details and it seems to be a straight up $100 credit for restaurant, meaning you can buy 25x of those $4 certificates that are worth $25,
if you do the math, for $20 you get $625 in certificates!

i might be wrong, but its hard to tell when all these companies write their terms and conditions in legalese:
