But are they really "Mavinim" or do they only think they are? The selection is different depending on that question.

definitely true in regards to each their own.. ta'am vi'raiach. horrible is seemingly harsh, it is indisputable that most reputable rating sites have them ranked fairly high. putting that aside, as someone who only drinks bourbon and have had my fair share of garbage bourbons out there, these two are on my recommended list.

even if they don't know his handle, if they're on here they'll figure it out.
He gave pretty specific dates, shouldn't be too hard to recognize the bottles list from here...

If your ordering from mission throw in a couple bottles of fiddich 14 bourbon barrel. No sherry problems, cheap, and doesn't look too  cheap

I also saw that royal salute was selling for very decent prices for a 21 year old scotch (even though it's blended and I happen not to be a huge fan)

I put together a list of 20 bottles just scrolling through the best sellers list and mixing in some better bottles and some bourbons should not be too hard to put something together

wow! Really appreciate it.

Dont be affraid to go with bottles that people havent heard of. (there is more to the scotch world than Livet, Fidduch, Balvenie and Macallan)

Look for smaller brands like: glengoyne, glen scotia, Benriach, Glen Moray, Tormore and tullibardine that give you great bang for your buck. Dont be afraid of Gordon & Macphail or Signatory either.

You can get macallan 18 for $250ish or both Tullibardine 20 and Glenfarclas 17 for the same price.

Scotch is a never ending education - dont get into a rut of having the same 3-4 popular brands just because thats whats served everywhere...

There's usually a good reason why some brands become more ore popular than others...
