Lol, how many of you looked through SF's pics for a bag and got excited for a minute when they saw the small, red bag, only to realize it's a first aid kit bag.

Sorry. Forgot to put in an ending to my TR..

Contrary to the reports on how we ended, I would like to put all the myths to rest and say the real ended.

(1) Myth: It was getting dark. Wrong. Even with darkness we still could have gotten great night time pictures.
(2) Myth: It was gold outside. Wrong. It couldn't not get any colder than it was on those stones where we waited on for the sunset and endured three snow storms.
(3) Myth: No spectacular sunset. Wrong. One cannot predict these things. All you need is a flash of light and you can get an amazing picture. Just as we were leaving the sun did pop up but by that time we were all packed up, and hence, a picture not taken.
(4) Myth: Mile Walk back to car. Wrong. After doing all that walking during the day, this little stretch back was like a piece of cake. Devil's Food Cake.

Finally. The real reason we ended.

As the night was starting to fade in we all wanted to see how we can maximize the new #AJKMethod. At this time, this method sounded awesome and we all wanted to maximize it and take advantage to the fullest extent.

With that in mind, we decided that our time has came, piled into the car, and slowly but surely, made our way back home.

The higher the KP, the further south it's visible. The further north you are, the better you'll see it.

So if you're in Brooklyn, a higher KP may bring the aurora from northern Canada to Upstate NY. The further Upstate you go, the better your chances.

Just saw your edit... There are plenty of places to go near YYZ. You need dark and a view towards the north.

Now I get it. That map is telling you the threshold of what KP you need for it to be visible.
Is there an updated forecast? Worth heading out tonight?

Exactly.

So far it's been hovering at 4.3 - 4.6, with occasional spikes to 6. I would stay at home for now.

I'll update here if the situation heats up.
