Sunset: 5:11pm

Optimal photography time:
7-9:30am
3:30-7pm

IMO best would be 5 Jan, LGA-CLE, 08:25-10:05 - 6 Jan, CLE-LGA, 7:50am-9:30am. That way we have most of the day there, including a sunset.
Sounds good to me!
The Sheraton CLE Airport is $213 with tax or 4K SPG points. Not a bad value for your SPG and you're a 30 second shuttle or 3 minute walk from the terminal.  Without bags you can roll out of the hotel at 7:20 and be fine.
