I only have an canon sx 230 , I was supposed to borrow one but that didnt happen , is it still worth coming or should I wait till the next one ?

It's worth it I think, but you obviously won't be able to do as much. Do you have a tripod?

Partly to mostly cloudy is perfect photography-wise. A clear sky is usually worse than cloudy. believe it or not.

I believe it. Just not all clouds. I go out to take photos of those pink & purple sunsets. Nothing quite like it.

Exactly - clouds are what adds interest and color. No clouds is boring, but cloudy at least could be dramatic.
