A. Who transfers to SQ faster, Chase UR or Amex MR?

B. Are they cool with booking within a few hours of flight (no fees, right?)?

C. Can I tag on a free OW in addition to an open jaw?

E.g. NYC-LIH KOA-NYC-MIA (one RT). Or can I get also get a stopover in KOA instead of an openjaw?
Basically I'm trying to value the free stopover, and if it's a choice between LIH/KOA or e.g. MIA or CUN, the 6k points for the inter island flights are worth booking separately.

TYVMIA!

A. Chase
B. Yes. No fee
C. Don't think so

Oh well, too late, listened to Hershel. Thanks anyways!

Do you you know the answer to my other question?

You can, but not on your proposed itinerary.

No stopovers on purely domestic itineraries.

Thank you! So even NYC-LIH-KOA-NYC wouldn't be valid as one RT of 35k?

I once tried booking with less then 24 hours prior to flight and they would not allow it. They claimed that with partners they need more then 24 hours to book.

There'd be no issue booking NYC-LIH // KOA-NYC

Not sure how you propose to book LIH-KOA with SQ miles.

Two interesting things I learned tonight:

First with the good news: Chase transfer went through in about an hour and a quarter!

Now with the negative: Singapore considers any connection more than 4 hours to be a stopover!!!
This basically killed my whole transfer. What a waste.
Why does nobody mention this little rule? All everyone says is to search United awards (on UA metal), then call up SQ.

It's not only SQ.

Every major airline considers more than four hours a stopover on a domestic itinerary.

Well obviously UA doesn't think so, as I got the itinerary from them. I didn't put it together, they did.
UA charged OW fare, no stopover.

@Galitzyaner

As a date point, do you mind shearing what time you did the transfer, and what time it posted to SQ?

Does everyone consider it a stopover even if there's no possible connection until >4 hours later?

@AJK. maybe SQ considers it a domestic itin while UA considers it as a an international itin?

UA allows stopovers to HNL, even though they don't typically allow it on other domestic itineraries. Thus, UA treats HNL differently than a typical domestic segment.

A fundamental rule with routing, etc. is that you're bound by the issuing carrier's rules, not the metal on which you fly.

2 seats left open in F on 3/8/15. What are the chances this opens up for saver or standard points booking?
