OK I may be rethinking my position re: Bennish.
The people who post asking for a cheap flight NY-MIA are looking for recommendations for a site that has a good deal or a TA that can get a good deal. He happens to be a TA of sorts that is offering his own services, which doesn't seem much different than someone random person tagging a TA they like who then PMs the poster.
Perhaps the OP is using DDFB for incorrect reasons as it's technically not a place to just get referrals for TAs, but there's so much in there that isn't following the "purpose" of the group. So now, I'm kinda impartial to what he's doing. I'm very glad, though, that we don't see the "pm sent"s anymore.
Why the recent change of mindset? I was thinking that if I were in a position where I could make money off people looking for a service that I offer, what would I do? If I was a plumber in Boro Park, would I not PM anyone who posts, "looking for BP plumber recommendations"? I realize it's different than a lawyer ambulance chaser who waits in a hospital for someone who will need a lawyer. Here, the people are outright saying they want a TA, and he's stepping in and saying "let me help you".
