Did a search and didn't find anything so starting new.

Anyone been to Curacao? Anyone have anything to say about it? I'm wondering specifically how busy it is? I'm looking for a place that's not entirely overpopulated with tourists. Would it be possible to find a quieter beach there?

Was there about 2yrs ago august. stayed in the hilton (not sure if its still under their management) because I was hilton gold I was upgraded to a junior suite which was very nice and spacious. Bathrooms where pretty terrible though. They have what used to be a new hyatt but changed management as well. Interesting place as far as things to do there is an ostrich farm, aquarium, scuba diving, curacao liquor factory (kosher under the ok), oldest shul in the hemisphere, plenty of private and secluded beaches which requires a car rental unless you hire a driver, and touring the town Willamstaad

Though I just realized that flights on friday don't really leave much time so not sure about Shabbos..

I was there summertime about 6-7 years ago...
the 'oldest shul' is reform, has been for a couple generations...
there is an orthodox shul (I believe it is called Shearith Isreal). at the time there was a Rov there, (frum guy, yeshivish. probably one of the only shomer shabbos in the community.) I think he's left since.
the orthodox shul is not really near any of the major hotels. there's one local hotel short walk form the shul. decent place. discount available through the shul. I'll try post more info later.
at the time there was kosher meat available in one of the local supermarkets. (arranged by rabbi, delivered by agri) I doubt that's still happening...

I didn't notice an existing thread for Curacao, I apologize in advance if one already exists. I recently heard that there is a Marriott in Curacao that has a kosher kitchen and was wondering if anyone had any more information about that? TIA
