Do you guys know what libo gas bah means?
In the context of Yichud, someone who works around women (Mlachto Bein Hanashim) is considered Libo Gas Bah and the Halachos are stricter...

How about "I can't make a decision on my own"?
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

I'm impressed.
From my experience, a lot of LORs don't understand the dynamic of the workplace. When I asked about handshaking, all I heard was, "explain to them that you can't shake their hands and they'll respect you for it." First, it's not practical. Second, it's not true.
I always go with the "I have a cold", always gets me out of handshake.

I'm proud with my religion, and usually try to tell them before I meet them that my religion does not allow me shaking hands. Women are very receptive and respectful. Never had an issue.

Interesting how a thread started and what it evolved into.

It started by suggesting that it might be necessary to employ some silly ruse to "compensate" for the "lack" of a wedding ring.

It quickly evolved into a discussion of negiah and yichud.

My conclusion... the chachamim understood human psychology real well. If a ring would do the trick, they would have come up with that one. They came up with stuff that really works. And yes, the chachamim even understood the psychology of all those loose women who the members of this forum claim are throwing themselves at them all the time.

I don't think he has anything against shading my hand, it's just that usually when we meet I'm sitting in a chair with a bib full of blood and saliva after submitting to the abuse called 'cleaning'.

Are you implying that I am not proud?
Trust me, everyone knows I am a yid from a mile away. Never tried to hide it, not even in the corporate world, always been proud. When you work with other Jews who will shake hands of opposite gender, explanations become much more complicated.
