Looking for checking account with no fees
« on: January 24, 2014, 03:03:51 PM »
This would be a secondary account (I already have one with Chase) that I can deposit MOs into, and do other fun stuff. I'm told it's risky to deposit MOs into Chase, that's why I'm looking for something else

Thanks!

Try a credit Union. I use NEFCU on Long Island. Even pays 2.5% interest.

I think if you write where you live it can be helpful.

I don't think boa is free
+1
Only the student accounts are. Otherwise it's $12 a month or minimum balance of $1,500.

1. Referrals are not allowed on this forum.
2. How do you deposit MOs to an online bank account?
3. In general, they work like a snail. 5 days for anything to clear.

I don't think boa is free
An online account only with BOA is free.

Online account means you'll have a fee to use the Teller. I don't see how you can do that

So that's out. Looks like my options are TD, C1, or a credit union bank (don't know of any in Monsey, maybe someone can advise)

I also see that Citi has free checking if you do one direct deposit and one bill pay a month. Could I accomplish the direct deposit with BB?

If you have one near you, Schwab.
