Otherwise, I'm good with the $25 base- and this is someone who regularly streams music in the car and thought was a heavy data user. Apparently I'm a lightweight.

fwiu, unlike with typical Sprint plans where you can add services to prevent overages up until the bill prints. With this plan all changes will only take effect the next billing cycle, so everything must be done in advance

I haven't heard that. Where are you getting that information from? That would be true of a pre-paid plan, but this is a post-paid like any other Sprint plan. Only difference is that you are out of contract. If anything, I'd think they have to adopt new policies to keep you in the plan since you can technically leave before there is a next month to pay for!

Is there a "smart phone fee" like they have in there regular service in addition to their 25 base. What are the extra other "fees and taxes for NYC ?

No smartphone fee, you can use any phone you like.

rep in store. I asked about changing data as needed and he said changes to plan only take effect next billing cycle

And I had a rep tell me the exact opposite that any change can be backdated to beginning of cycle, so I guess "Don't Rely On Reps"

this was regarding the framily plan?
Cuz I know with all other plans you can backdate

Ok so basically what I've come to understand is that even if I have Sprint I CAN join someone else's Framily plan but only if they made a new plan and didn't have Sprint before.

That being said - Does anyone here have 3 Spots available for a plan that is NEW?

As far as I read the discount applies only to your BAN, which is your account itself within the framily. So the other guy joining won't necessary benefit.
