Maximizing my credit limit temporarily
« on: February 05, 2014, 08:16:42 PM »
I have a 10k limit on a card, with 6k pending which will eventually drop - a charge I cancelled... I want to charge 3.9k, what are the downsides? (effect on credit etc..)

As long as the 6k is dropped before end of billing cycle I'm ok? would paying prior to due date also help for credit reports?

Thx

As long as it's paid off (or that charge is credited) before the statement closes, it shouldn't matter.
