OK group, I searched but didn't find. If I have a large purchase to make ($20-30 k) and have SPG card, Citi AA executive mastercard (I already got the 100K spend), Amex Platinum card, and a variety of Chase cards (United Presidents card, Sapphire card, Freedom card, Ink card)- which card would be the best to make this charge on? I have been told that they will accept the charge from a credit card. Thanks.

It looks like I only get 1 point per dollar from SPG on Hilton purchases and 2.14 from Sapphire preferred. Am I reading this correctly?

Yes.  It all depends what you want. In theory though you could sell the UR you make and buy the same amount of SPG you would have gotten and still have money left over. It's up to you.

Also, I forgot to factor in spend bonuses. Not sure if any of your cards have that.
Plus you get 7% back with the SP.

So it looks like SP is the way to go, not SPG.

SP does not give double points for hotels.
Your best choice would be the IP or IB.
