You can't buy eBay gift cards with these certificates? That's usually the easiest way to eliminate expiration dates.

Don't think so.  You can buy other GCs (e.g. Target), but those usually are more than face, which I guess isn't the worst thing w/eBucks. .

Cool.  Will try it out.  Thanks
Update: worked fine, thanks for the tip.  The T&C seemed to indicate otherwise, but had no issue.  Thanks again

Never believe T&C's. They're often not enforced.

I have someone who bought something from me and still didn't pay, he's located in India, I told him in not shipping international...
He's waiting on his friend to pay..
He has 100% with over 100 reviews a few years,
How long should I give him?
And do I lose out anything on waiting?
What's your plan for yud shvat?

Open an unpaid case.
In the future, you can exclude international buyers.

FIrst time Ebay seller please help.
Got an Amazon Echo as a gift, have no need and put it on EBay. The box was opened, listed as New Other; opened box and put up a couple of pictures... Sold within 48 hours for $175. These can be bought brand new for 179.99. The buyer has a few hundred positive feedbacks.
AM I getting scammed? Any way for to protect myself? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

As long as you follow all of ebay's seller guidelines (ship with tracking and upload to eBay etc...) you should be covered by ebay's 'Seller Protection'

Is there anything stopping the buyer from claiming that the item was broken and sending me back an old one?

Not really. But that's the risk you take with any online marketplace. If you wanna avoid that risk, you'd have to meet in person. Craigslist, Facebook selling groups, etc.

What's the best way to cash out eBucks?  I have a $500 cert expiring tomorrow.
Don't think so.  You can buy other GCs (e.g. Target), but those usually are more than face, which I guess isn't the worst thing w/eBucks. .
Is this why GC go over face in the first place?

Anyone here have any experience setting up stealth eBay accounts? I was just banned for life and am opening up new one and have a few questions. Firstly, now that PayPal split from eBay do I need to open a new PayPal account or is it enough if I just add a new email address to accept payments from eBay? And if I do need to open a new PayPal account, how do I attach a new bank account without them realising its me? Do they see the name on bank accounts, or can I give paypal a fictitious name that doesn't match the one the bank account?

He can suggest it to try and avoid an item not as described case, but you are under no obligation to accept that as a resolution unless the description stated that it would come with a dead battery.

It will annoy the seller, but you can open an item not as described case if you don't want to pay for the new battery out of your own pocket. He will most likely offer you a partial refund to cover the cost of a new battery. If you don't want that, you can return it for a full refund.

He said the battery was only for factory testing & I should buy my own battery but I have no way of opening the back to replace the battery.

Does it mention that in the description? If it doesn't, he give whatever excuse he wants, eBay will side with you if you open a case.
If it DOES mention it in the description, then he is right and it's up to you to figure out a way to replace the battery.

Just a side point, if he changed the listing since you purchased it in order to include the battery issue, you can check how the listing looked when you purchased it by going to your purchase history and clicking on that transaction.

Ok I'll try that. Thanks
