The easiest disputes for a buyer to win are those made through paypal. If you do a bank deposit or another method of payment, the worst the buyer can do to you is leave negative feedback or report you to ebay (which i dont think is so effective)
The very fact your making the sale off ebay makes it almost impossible to dispute it either way.
If its off ebay, he cant leave negative feedback.
If he paid thru paypal than he could always dispute it with paypal ... I myself often sell off ebay - to save the fees for myself and the buyer. I have never had a dispute (yet)
But I would only ship to a confirmed address if its not thru ebay (thru ebay it always comes up as confirmed)
If you're selling off eBay, neither of you have any recourse if the sale goes wrong. Make sure he's paying you with a payment method that is foolproof. Personally I wouldn't give a stranger off eBay my bank account number.
Let him pay you WU (I have done this) I doubt the buyer would wanna to this, as its high risk for him
Why can't the buyer file a dispute with his CC?
Paypal payment disputes are hard to file ... paypal will fight it
