Topic Wiki

This is the thread for all random/general questions about Southwest. The official airline code for Southwest is WN as SW was taken by Air Namibia, but many people on the forums refer to Southwest as SW since no one talks about Air Namibia ever.

For questions about any of the SW CC's, see here.
For questions about the SW Companion Pass, see here.
For questions about auto-checkin to SW flights, see here. (Follow the wiki to learn how to set it up.)

Actually, I think it's noteworthy to mention the new route. I'm just not as surprised that WN has (i) cheap fares, (ii) on an introductory route.

If I fly Southwest with a companion (pass), then I (the account holder) change my flight, will they realize and not let the companion fly without the holder, or do they say that and actually not realize.

I ask this because I have flown with a companion a few times and I do not recall southwest ever asking about the companion pass. Now I have the flights booked and need to change my flight. Only my flight.

Any advice appreciated.

Ay, I skimmed. Clearly I could have been more efficient with time; and the time of others. I apologize.

Thank you, and the others for your (advice) time.

Although, I'm not convinced it'll be a problem...
But my wife would never agree to fly in this scenario and take the chance.

You get to board in between A&B (although I think officially only if you have children under a certain age - not sure what age).
If your flying with a child under 5 you get to board between A and B.

Did a quick search but couldn't find the answer.
Do I need to pay miles or $ for a ticket for a child under 2?

easy info to find on sw website. either way the answer is no as a lap child. if you want another seat for the child then yes.

If you use 2 SW vouchers for 1 flight, the system warns you that if you cancel, both vouchers will take on the expiration date of whichever one expires earlier. Is that true?

Anyone ever get an offer from an energy program called Energy Plus? They have some sort of promotion with southwest where you can earn up to 12.5k RR points by switching to there service. All they are is the energy supplier to your local utility company.   ???
