Disputes with anyone besides amex is a nightmare.
I think it depends on how much business you give the credit card company versus the dispute amount. If I do 100k a month with my chase cc and dispute $100, they will probably let it go. *speculation *

A friend of mine used a landscaping / snow plowed company for aprox $7k
This guy charged over $17k in credit card charges basically making up these fees.
He called The credit card company (not AMEX) & they said its a dispute between him & the vendor. The credit card company said the landscaper is correct. Any suggestions?
there is a company that that has an amazing track record dealing with chargebacks. They work primarily for merchants but for a large case they would probably work for a consumer. They know the ins and outs of the system like nobody does. PM me for details.

I rented a car in Israel, I noticed that the company charged me an extra 100+ dollars After calling and asking about it they said its a charge for bringing back the car empty with gas, this is a lie as I went to gas station on way to airport.
I disputed the charge with my chase credit card but this morning chase called saying that the charge is valid as I signed while renting that if I bring back empty they gave the right to charge me.
I never signed while bringing back the car that I know that they will charge me this type of money

first off, rental cars always rape you for refilling gas, easily 20%-30% over going rate. secondly, check all the paperwork you signed at the end, it may list the final charges along with what they are for, i.e. refill gas?

You definitely received a report/receipt of the car, either in hand or by email, I remember signing on this small device

Bought an item on my barclays card and it was messed up. I sent it back to get fixed and it still wasnt good. It was back and forth a few times and finally they told me to jump in the lake. By now its 6 months later is there any way to still dispute it since we were trying to work it out for past 6 months?

does NY state consider  internet purchases (made at home) to have been made "in your home state or w/in 100 miles" even when seller is out of state-- for added layer of legal CC protection on purchases over $50 when you are displeased w service/product?
ftc says it depends on state, but i cant find the info on NYS AG site.

I once rented from hertz in la and they also lied about the gas and some other stuff so I contacted there customer service, filed a complaint and they reimbursed me. Was it an American based company?

Do I stand a chance of getting back my money if I dispute a charge from a tailor who messed up a jacket of mine (it's not wearable anymore for anyone who has a discerning eye for clothes), just to recover what I paid the tailor at least? Paid for it with Amex SPG.
