If someone got the 2 wire timer and wants to use it for a chandelier with LED bulbs you can flip one of the many bulbs with a incandescent bulb and everything should work fine.

If all the bulbs are in parallel, yes.

oh my i thought i'm done, what difference would it make? i w'd assume that most chandeliers are parallel otherwise if one burns out none of them would work correct me if i'm wrong.

You are correct. I would also assume they are in parallel since I never seen one in series.

Go for halogen; they are much more energy efficient.
More importantly, there are some incandescent bulbs that as they blow, a shorter segment of the filament can contact both sides, reducing the resistance and sending a surge of current through the timer that blows the timer. I had a few timers that failed and I suspect this type of bulb failure contributed to it. Halogen bulbs that I have seen tend to have a single straight filament where this would not happen.

you can set 7 programs per week how do you reset program 1 and 2 they should stop running when set to auto?

Cycle through the days for particular program until the day selected is no day at all.

Turning off breakers in my house is a pain. I'm going to replace a thermostat (3 wires, if that matters) - do I really need to turn off the fuse, or am I gonna kill myself?

If it's low voltage (it usually is) you don't have to worry about turning off the breaker

Is the thermostat connected to power or is it battery powered? If it is the latter (most likely IMO) then the 3 wires are low voltage and turning off the breaker won't do anything anyway

No you won't kill yourself but always a good idea to turn off breaker. Safety first.

It has the option to screw it in, but it's my understanding that just screwing it in is not necessarily grounding it.

If the switch box is grounded and you it into the switch box then it will be grounded as well
