Look above I edited my post.
that is what I was looking for. lets say one could get points for 1/cpp. you would then be better of with CB and purchasing the points? what cpp would be the break even point?
I just found a new supply of forks!

Like .75-.8 would break even.

How can that be, if you're purchasing only 13K @1.5 with the profits of the CB then 25K would be a dot less then half of 1.5

Option 1.
I'll say the math dealing with 5K spend.
If you spend 5K on each of those cards at their bonus categories you're going to have different levels of profits. I'll start with the Ink, buy 5K in GC you need to purchase 25 GC they cost $6.95 each but if you're enrolled in VSE it comes out to $4.95 each, X25 is $123.75. $5,000 will net you 25K points for $123.75. Let's move on to the Amex BC if you spend 5K at say S&S you need 10 GC each one cost $5.95 X10 that's $59.50. $5,000 will net you $250 - $59.50 and your profit is $190.50 If you buy the points @1.5 you won't even be able to purchase 13K in UR points. Makes sense?
Excellent spelling it out!  The only change in the math I would meekly add is that the above makes it 49.5cpp instead of $122 (=12200 cents, that's $4.88, not $4.95) divided by 25,875 (that's 25x1035, not 25K).  This calculation gives the 47.15cpp as @David R explains upthread.

your math:

IP/IB cost 123.75
BC I make 190.50

So if I would buy the points (25k) break even would be 123.75 + 190.50, correct? that comes out to about 1.25 cpp.

Why did you add thos numbers together. From the Ink I look at that you "purchased" 25K for $123 and from the BC assuming it'll cost 1.5 you'll only be able to purchase 13K.

You lost me there.
if I purchase 25k points at 1.25 the total will be 312.50. if I use my cash back of 190 I will have to kick in another 122.50. this is the break even between IP/IB and BC. these are not exact figures.

that throws another twist into the calculation. with option one you can sell the UR and then buy the Hyatt points.

For how much can you sell UR? For how much can you buy Hyatt?  Let's figure it out.

I've seen UR going a bit more than that lately. Probably 1.6-1.7.

Only got one. I guess people were not too thrilled with the possibility of getting 1.7 for UR.
