Why didn't u book ur wife's ticket in the name on her passport?

Like i said before it was an honest mistake... Im so used to her married name that i forgot all about her passport... Keep in mind BA doesn't ask for your passport info at purchase like other airlines do (ie. United). Had it asked i woulda remembered....

It really is. Just fill out the form and send it on with the old passport and the original marriage certificate. It takes about two weeks.

Thanks... Def gonna look into it asap...

Sorry to hear about your experience. I have been told in the past in a rather condescending way from the GA that we used Avios for our ticket etc. Not that it made a difference but it's wrong for them to do that when it's a fully legal ticket booked by their partner BA.

Sorry for went you went through. You flew on a international flight with a kid arriving 90 minutes before the flight. This is to short, if you have ID issues. The same goes for boarding. Why wait until 2 minutes before cut off time, if you have a child and have a ticket with issues... Especially on the way back you should have known better and arrived earlier....
When you book a UA miles ticket, it  takes them time to ticket it, probably that the reason the first agent could not find a valid ticket.
I feel bad for you, but stuff happens....

1) I didn't realize the mistake until my wife's ticket didn't scan at the AA ticketing gate.
2) I've flown NY-YYZ plenty of times and 90 mins is more than enough time.
3) Nothing about having my son there slowed us down.
4) Because the front ticketing agent didn't make an issue i thought wed be fine. Thus, waiting to board.
5) The tickets for the way back were confirmed on Friday, never imagined they'd cancel on me.

I didn't know ant better at the time.

I plan on sending this to the airlines.... Anyone know the best way to get it to their attention? Or should i just send it through the regular "customer relations" page ?

Love this. If anyone wants to bash a whole city or town. Keep it in the Lakewood thread.
