We weren't arguing about LY F vs. DL/UA/US J.
Was arguing about a theoretical LY F vs UA F.

All else being equal I'd definitively fly LY F over UA J but the same is true for most F vs J scenarios.

you don't have an objective opinion without flying them. I flew SQ suites multiple times this year and I enjoyed LY f more.

Did you bring your own food onto SQuites and have them heat it up?

Then what exactly was so much better?
I've been in SQ R, J, and Y, and I've never has such nice FAs as with them.

It's FT.  If you think DDF'ers are too critical it's a whole different league there.
Moderation is very heavy-handed there as well.

Wow, it's amazing how they mistook your intentions, although I do agree that the wording may have sounded kind of odd to a non-frum person. But that doubling down on you with such extreme heavy handedness was excessive IMO.

Thanks for the report!

Stinks you chose Regal ex-NYC when it's the reg kosher meal people tend to rave about  :'(

Honestly, though, that "new" LY F hard product is actually just as embarrassing as I thought it was when it came out.

Lack of competition breeds resting on imagined laurels.

I flew SQ suites multiple times this year and I enjoyed LY f more.

You must really like having decent/good kosher food on your flights...

Though my first SQ R flight is coming up in the next few weeks, I can't imagine LY F can match the soft product of SQ R Singapore girls... does it?

And, I don't think anyone would seriously argue LY's "new" F hard product is even in the same league as SQ R.

So it loses on service, it loses on hard product, leaving... food.

While you're certainly entitled to your opinion, I can't imagine ever turning down a superior hard product and soft product for better food... not when I can simply bring my own.

+1,000,000.
Nothing comes close to your own personal SQ R FA who will do anything and everything she can for you.

And that's exactly why I asked if he brought his own food.  As I don't believe anything onboard any plane sounds better than bringing along a double wrapped POM, Mikes, C&G, or even NKS meal....
Mind you CX is different as they typically won't heat up your food.  Though at least ex-HKG the food is excellent.

Ambiance isnt a science... the best hotels in the world don't have the fanciest furniture or largest suites... It's about making you feel at home, comfortable and secure

Hence everybody here who flew LY F appreciates it, and everybody measuring 'product' by features in a picture is missing the true value of hospitality.

Maybe its the nostalgia of being served for 12 hours by an Israeli without complaint. Where else on Earth can you find that???

I agree that CX/SQ/LH etc are miles better, but there is something special to flying LY F to Israel.

Maybe its time you tried it...

Has nothing to do with pictures. Are you seriously suggesting that you'd find a greater sense of hospitality from an Israeli FA than a SQ girl? Bah.

The only point I think you have is that a religious Jew may feel more 'at home, comfortable, and secure'  on LY, but that has nothing to do with LY F v. SQ R. That has to do with LY v. anyone else.

Yes, I agree there is nothing like flying direct to Israel and having first class service and ambiance. The problem is the bed is really not made for long term sleeping, which is a real pain if some one is taking the night flight and they want to sleep most of it.

So LY F vs UA/DL J, LY F wins since it has a first class service and atmosphere. LY F vs SQ R, LH F, LX F, LY F wins since its direct.

If SQ R, LH F etc would fly direct, there is no question they would win.

(Sadly) I feel more at home in Dubai than Tel Aviv

Sq girls are just nagging monkeys

The only thing I like better about sq is the space. I don't like crowded flights.
