I should add that as an Israeli I can connect better w Israeli FAs and use less oral communication.

For me the dream 'first class' is when my bags get from 1 hotel room to the next without me touching or looking at them (done it a few times bh), and I get there without having to look up from my phone and distracted from my core interests for a second. LH understands that much better than CX. That's why they'll have someone walking you from car at departure to car at arrival.

The last think I would do is deal w brining food from restaurant to plane to eat...

I can understand that many people are looking for the precise opposite.

Well, from the people I know who flew LY F and DL J it sounds like you cannot compare LY F to DL J, period. Unfortunately.

These guys care about the hard product, they take the night flights because they wanna sleep for 9 hours straight (at least on the way home from TLV  )  With DL it's a pleasure, they call it suites.. With LY it's a total different story.. you don't even get aisle access.

So not sure why LY wins. When I sleep I don't care much about the atmosphere. Indeed the soft product comes in consideration, but for the average flyer the hard product matters.

We're all taking about the LY seats that do have aisle seats. And the bed is wider than Delta and thus much more conducive for sleep. The Delta seats are an incredible waste of space. Such a wide aisle, yet such a narrow seat.

I can only tell you what my father claims  Since DL came out with their new product he totally ignores LY F. He claims he sleeps better on DL.

Bingo, enough with shlepping food and eating out on container and being busy with he foods half of flight, guys you don't understand the pleasure of sitting down getting served a proper meal and awesome high end wine and going to sleep - IFE and FA's do nothing for me the SQ girls are just a pain in the a..

You must really like having decent/good kosher food on your flights...

Though my first SQ R flight is coming up in the next few weeks, I can't imagine LY F can match the soft product of SQ R Singapore girls... does it?

And, I don't think anyone would seriously argue LY's "new" F hard product is even in the same league as SQ R.

So it loses on service, it loses on hard product, leaving... food.

While you're certainly entitled to your opinion, I can't imagine ever turning down a superior hard product and soft product for better food... not when I can simply bring my own.

Nothing comes close to your own personal SQ R FA who will do anything and everything she can for you.

And that's exactly why I asked if he brought his own food.  As I don't believe anything onboard any plane sounds better than bringing along a double wrapped POM, Mikes, C&G, or even NKS meal....

For some (me included) it's a hassle to do this, so I'd rather try to eat onboard food, and if its mot edible I'll just nosh around.

But hey, you're more into fress than me - so I don't blame you.

But hey, I had 1-1/2 cup of kosher wine on a AIRPLANE!!! after 2 phone calls.

Seems to me it's like saying a kosher hotel in Brooklyn is better than the Mandarin Oriental because it's such a pleasure to get kosher food...
