Delta miles to expire
« on: November 28, 2010, 08:38:27 PM »
I have some old delta miles gonna expire in a week...like 16.2k (not much but why throw it away?)
got that magaazine offer in mail.
Cheapest offer is maxim for 100 miles...its just very prust.  not interested.  I dont think that id like to send it to some phantom address, it just seems to sketchy for me.  next one up is 400 miles.
Should i just bite the bullet and order readers digest and throw in garbage or is there a better system.

They suggest buying some or transferring some miles.  Whats my cheapest option out there to preserve them (less than 400 miles in cost, ie free or close!)

New York Observer for 500 miles?

You can sell a 1 year Economist subscription on ebay.  Probably can get $100 for it and it only costs 3,200 miles!
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Has anyone ever tried that (selling on ebay) how would that work? would ebay have any gripes?

I'm quite confident the phantom address will work, it's not like they'll reverse your redemption and expire your miles.

Or try selling maxim on eBay for 99 cents.

Of course.
People are always selling and making a killing selling the WSJ and Economist on ebay.
