Might be a little OT, but is premium eco on United EWR-TLV worth $200?

Its not premium econ, its extra legroom.
'worth' is a matter of personal preference.
Wait until you're at the airport maybe you can get it for free

Depends when you go. If JetBlue operates their Mint product by then, thats the way I'd go.

Jetblue hasn't published when they'll start Mint service to LAS.
If you can't get Mint then go with VX, no question

LX J on the A330, which is the better seat for a solo traveler, the A seat in an even row or K seat in an odd row (other than 9 which has no window).

A side has more room.
As you can see in the picture on the  left side behind each even there's two seats and on the right side behind the odd there's only one seat.

The real good seats they hold for hon circle and gold.... but if you check in 24 hours before you could find good seats.

Thats what I figured, I just wasnt sure if there was a negative to the space on the side between the seat and the window. I found a TPG review of the LX A330 where Sarah quotes an FA saying 4A is "the best seat on the plane."

A seat in an even row. Saved for HON, but when i got to check in counter they were able to give it to me. It was awesome!
