The real good seats they hold for hon circle and gold.... but if you check in 24 hours before you could find good seats.

When I went into my itinerary on LH.com I was able to select seats but not any of the "premium" seats only doubles or odd K seats, but when I went into the reservation on swiss.com I was able to select A seats (actually the same A seat twice)!

I called them, & they gave me a seat which was officially reserved for HON circle members.

If UA has their new Polaris seats in by the time you fly then that will be the best, the problem is that we don't know when that'll be.

The 757's won't be updated for a while. There will be a new 777-300 Polaris flying EWR-SFO 1x daily, as the first Polaris route soon.

As a side note, how is VX in the market (and cheap at all) with no lie flat?

IINM the seats are the same exact thing on both UA and AA so i would go with whichever works better however the AA lounge in JFK is a bit of a mess now so UA might be preferable in that aspect

Call them. They gave it to me on the phone.
You get a "throne" feel with the 2 huge armrests and have tons of room for drinks and stuff.
By breakfast I had like 6 different glasses with various liquids by my side. Was great!!!
