If it hits anywhere, most likely result is a crash.

However, unlike SAMs, it will not track or attempt to explode near an airplane, so if it misses, it's a clean miss.

I would take the chance too, it's not like the Hamas can accurately aim those things, they are literally shooting in the dark hoping to hit something.

The wings carry the whole plane and can take quite a beating. Depending on where the rocket hits it can cause anything from a minor nuisance to causing the whole plane to become uncontrollable.

Seriously? This is quite an uninformed statement. The wings are not "very weak". They certainly are pierce-able and I do think that the speed and weight of a Hamas rocket can inflict damage, but some of the comments here are based on "movie-science" rather than reality. The wing of an aircraft literally supports the aircraft, not to mention faces relative wind-speeds in excess of 500-600MPH. I don't think a Hamas rocket hitting such an aircraft would be a good thing but I certainly wouldn't rile everyone into thinking that commercial aircraft are doomed because of a tin can. In addition, I think that an aircraft landing in Ben Gurion, which is the most hittable target for Hamas (it's going slower and generally much lower than departing aircraft) is also the lightest on fuel so that depending on a variety of factors, even a struck plane would likely not be completely incapacitated. Again, not a good thing but also not the same as what happened to MH17 last week. Let's calm down people!

Sorry, not true. Jet engines are designed to withstand strikes by small objects. And even when larger objects such as Canada Geese are ingested, they may destroy or force shutdown of said engine but almost never are seriously a threat to the people on-board. Again, let's stop living in the movies.
