IIRC, it always take a day or two before it gets marked as shipped... Until it says it's shipped, they can still cancel...

I notice a commenter on DDMS qouted SD users having been canceled all but one order each...

Sleep assured that you won't loose money, it's just a question of gaining...

To clarify,
I'm not saying they always ship everything in less than a day,
just that whenever they do ship, the order status is being updated in real time.

If people's were getting cancelled for real, don't you think at least some of us would have already? I don't believe they cancelled anyone's YET...

Just remember that the deal was around for a while before it was posted on the main site... Those people may have been from the earlier buyers... but either way I quoted my source... you can judge for yourself if you want to investigate or just believe it...

I just got an email that my order is delayed one business day. This has to be a good sign, no? If they were to cancel, they would have cancelled outright.

+.5. It's better than canceled can't argue but cd I'd assume they caught on and they're weighing the pros and cons of honoring it

Had two of my transactions flagged for fraud and declined by CC. Staples called me for both, and sent emails explaining I'd need to call in with alternative form of payment. Called in, gave them alternate CC. Took care of both orders with the same rep.

They apologized that my order might be delayed until as lats as 8/7, which I assured them would be just fine.

Until the GCs arrive in my mail box, with matching activation envelops, nothing is real.

Did Staples charge your alternate card the amount before or after the Visa Checkout discount?

Heh - excellent question, and the answer is.... none of my charges have cleared from pending yet.

But... the amounts of the orders that they confirmed with me were AFTER.

Similar story.
As I was sitting at the computer inventing various permutations of my gmail address and ordering GCs, both my cell and my wife's rang with fraud dept automated call from Barclays to confirm the charges on our were legit.
- 7 x $1.00 as well as 7 x $81.95 on each of our cards in a matter of minutes.

Got two messages from staples about payment issues, I called back, the CSR found the two transactions, I told her it was cos I don't usually use this CC at staples so the bank froze them, but it's all clear and she should try the same card again and both went through on the spot.

No. They were still pending last I checked, but they were able to successfully charge the card on record from the original transaction without needing anything from me.
