The edge is amazing.
Uber quick access to all of my favorite apps, camera (and a soft screen off switch).
Quick access to useful tools (measuring stick, timer/stopwatch, flashlight, voice memo)
Nighttime clock feature is awesome.
And the memory game is totally addictive, watch out

Other than that, huge phone, but the one-handed swipe makes things easy when you can only use one hand.
Performance is lightning quick for everything, screen is stunning, camera is incredible.

Battery life seems good, but I still bought the extra battery with external battery charger for $19.

I activated Voice over LTE. Seems good, will be more useful for video calls once others have that feature activated (and everyone will be forced to soon enough)

Why is the Note edge more amazing than the Note 4, as far as I read, performance is the same.

Performance is the same. And they're both awesome. But,
1. I can access 16 of my most used apps in a literally a split second thanks to the edge screen.
2. The night clock has come in handy many times, especially in fancy hotels with dumb manual clocks.
3. Everyone who sees the phone is still fascinated by the edge, so that will end I'm sure when the S6 goes mainstream. The look of shock of someone I ask to take a pic of us with it is fun though for now.
4. I love the position of the soft power switch on the edge to turn off the screen.
5. Memory match on the edge is addictive

The edge was an extra $100 with VZW. I get that much value out of it easily.

Indeed.
Note 4/Note Edge have amazing battery life, but I'm always happy to carry several spares when traveling.
$19 for an extra battery and battery charging dock is a no-brainer if you travel.
