I am starting an online company and am looking for someone who is really good. I find that a lot of people in the business just want to copy other peoples work but are not actually talented and creative. Any recommendations for a great web designer and a great programmer? Thanks.

+1. Especially the good ones.

Also this is an area where you will get exactly what you pay for, especially in today's market. If you want quality, be prepared to spend for it

also some web designers might not be able actually design the graphics of the web sight if you are using a person rather then a company.

I should have been more clear.....I am looking for a great programmer and also a great web designer. I am aware that the two almost never go together. Although I they will sometimes try to convince otherwise.

If your doing WordPress than great designers can developed it too. I know plenty of graphic designers. If u need a couple DIFF leads I can send u some options.

Yes, and then a few months down the line you are wondering why your website is so slow and is a pain to maintain, and then you find out why designers are not developers too.

If you're buying a theme you should be okay, but if someone's writing you a theme from scratch you are much better off paying a good programmer to do that.

Just someone who can program the back end of a website and possibly program a few interesting ideas I had for the site.
