JJ1000's list of top restaurants and dishes in Miami:

1. Fuego: Flatbreads are a must, then the back ribs, pastrami egg rolls, smores dessert, perfect date drink are good.

2. 26: Sushi pizza is  a must I prefer it with baked salmon, then the Passion Mojito, Sushi Teriyaki tempuraed, Cilantro Aioli dip and truffle fires, all of their soups are good.

3. Zak The Baker. Menu changes too often to recommend stuff.

4. Kosh: Chocolate souffle is good.

5. Foozo: Foozolis, the caprese foozoli with extra balsamic sauce, their pastas are good as well.

Also notable unique places are The Freeze which makes ices, serendipity makes ice cream (there is one next door to ZTB now), and Miami Beach Chocolates turtles and bark.

probably the kosher supermarket. Sarah's tent has it as well.  I don't know the prices but don't expect it to be cheap

Couple questions - going to be in Miami in December for 3 nights, and contemplating using my 3 Ritz nights. Options I see are RC Ft. Lauderdale or Coconut Grove? Has anyone stayed at either of these that might have a preference of one over another (with a Gold account)? Also, which would be better for kids, in terms of pool (hopefully if weather is nice) or activities. Also, which would be more accessible to Kosher food (only kid friendly so don't need upscale).

TIA

Looking to go to Miami 5/28-6/2 and make our own shavuous there. W is like $327 and fontainebleu like $265 a night. These seem really cheap. Dumb question but am I missing something or is this normal seasonality/weather related/construction/Jewish holiday related/zika/or Memorial Day weirdness?

w south beach is not a good place for shavout. Fountainbleau would be good. And yes it is normal to see these cheap prices as Miami is dead this time of year. The Miami season is basically thanksgiving through pesach

Or Marriot Residence Inn Surfside for like $110. Great option IMO. And the shul will likely have all the meas you need. Their shavuos kiddushim are usually pretty epic.

Any good shabbos options for the aventura area? I guess we need a hotel that can be shabbos friendly a shul and eruv so we can walk around with a baby. Meals I would do take out in hotel room.
I did shabbos in the 41st and Collins area and I really didn't enjoy that whole are of Miami. Want something more spread out and quieter.
Would turnberry isle or residence  inn be an option?

Just had a really enjoyable three night stay at the Marriott Key Largo Bay resort for the second days of Pesach. Basketball, volleyball, ping pong tables, foosball, other things as well.

The new playa resort was sold out due to a program so stayed at this older Marriott. Still a wonderful relaxing stay.
