JJ1000's list of top restaurants and dishes in Miami:

1. Backyard BBQ (New chef in mid 2017 totally new menu): Burnt ends, 2nd cut brisket, Dinosaur Rib, BBQ Sundae, BBQ Burger.

2. 26: Sushi pizza is  a must I prefer it with baked salmon, then the Passion Mojito, Sushi Teriyaki tempuraed, Cilantro Aioli dip and truffle fires, all of their soups are good. Miso Bass is incredible as well.

3. Harbour Bistro, new menus in early 2018: Chicken and waffles just perfect, duck a l'orange pot stickers, millionaire ramen, lamb shank, charcuterie platter if that's your thing... Also serving brunch, Chicken and waffles again, eggs Benedict with bacon on top,

4. Fuego: Flatbreads are a must, then the back ribs, pastrami egg rolls, smores dessert, perfect date drink are good. (Update March 2017, the app chef and bbq chef isn't there anymore and the quality has been spotty from recent reviews.)

5. Zak The Baker. Menu changes too often to recommend stuff. Not Cholov Yisroel.

6. Kosh: Chocolate souffle and korean beef with extra sauce are good.

7. Rustiko: Spinach and Artichoke Dip, (Quinoa Salad is very good), (Pappardelle Mushroom if lunch), Mushrooms Panzerotti is an absolute must order only down side is it's a dinner only item. Oreo cheescake dessert but make sure it's fresh.

8. Harbour Grill: The Harbour Grill Filet or TheKing Reserve steaks are great. Supreme Burger is very good as well.

9. Pizza type options:

Foozo: Foozolis, the caprese foozoli with extra balsamic sauce and garlic aoili, their pastas are good as well.

Jerusalem Pizza: Best plain pie, get it fresh in store, coated fries good as well.

Lenny's pizza: Gan Eden Pie.

Also notable unique places are The Freeze which makes ices, serendipity makes ice cream (there is one next door to ZTB now), and Miami Beach Chocolates turtles and bark now also in Surfside!

Firstly, tizke lemitzvos.
Secondly, it was Miami Dade PD. The guy wouldn't even get out of his car basically said nothing to do, even though we had fraud alerts coming through showing what stores they were hitting with the stolen cc
Sorry to hear of this unfortunate occurrence ruining your vacation. I hope you recover your items/succeed with the insurance claims. Unfortunately, car break-ins are a regular occurrence throughout South Florida, particularly in season. Do not leave any valuables unattended in a car. luggage, purses and shopping bags (even empty) are an open invitation for a break-in.

If you are Ok with driving about 30 minutes for food I would suggest the W FLL.

If you want to be closer to the jewish area I would buy hyatt anniversary nights and stay at the Confidante (Do not waste your Sign up nights there)

Finally if you want the closest hotel to the St regis (that can be bought with the points that you have) I would go with the W south beach but be aware that the neighborhood isnt the greatest but it is closer to the Jewish neighborhood than the W FLL

These are your best options on the beach

  • Location: The value of a forum such as this one is not in that one can post a question and receive an answer, but in that the question has most likely been asked before, and the answer is available to him that will but only use the search function.
  • Programs: 1. Search on google. 2. Search in the right board of DDF with a general word or two. 3. Read the wiki. 4. Read the thread. 5. Ask away.

Also to state the obvious don't leave cars unlocked I hear about unlocked cars being robbed all the time down here.

Thanks paying 24 bucks for 3 days makes me alot calmer than 45 a day
Keep in mind a few blocks in, you can just park on the grass in front of anyone’s house and there’s nothing anyone can do to stop you. That would be free

"Just saying"
After many reports this past week of long lines, lost reservations, and food shortages. In short, many disappointed customers. I've got to say that Carlos and Gabby's really took care of us well tonight. With the Groupon, nine of us ate like kings with only spending around $120, which is a bargain even in NY. No it's not a prime grill experience, but it's not trying to be one either. But it is good tasting freshly prepared food served within a reasonable time frame for a good price. That's saying a lot already.

Lol, I was there Monday night. Waited an hour for a table, and then half hour for food. Total before groupon/tax/tip was $103 ;D ;D ;D

Lots of buildings have. For sure Carriage Club North and South at 50th St. On Collins -  but certainly other closer buildings as well, I'm sure.

I would imagine that this week is but comparable to Yeshiva week.
