That didn't work for me! And I just created an account and did it for my wife as well.
Now I think I realized what was wrong. I put in my gmail on the login page and it gave me an error - that was probably because that was the login page and obviously my gmail wasn't associated with an account. When I went to create an account, I guess I just assumed it had to be an outlook account.
Not really a big deal, I'm just keeping both of our Outlook inboxes open right now.
The real Q is... if an account is based on solely on an email, can't you just keep clearing your cookies and finding that same Amazon offer and creating a new account...
