I heard about this, it's pretty creepy to go on a vacation that someone booked to go with their girlfriend but super cool!

He did. I think they are on their trip now. I believe I heard that some of the hotels were sponsoring a second room for her. Wonder if we'll get a TR.

You would need to get that switched. You can't show up with a completely different name on your passport.

True ymmv...  I was booked on an itinerary phl-las and my friend booked Mr the ticket completely on the wrong name (Hebrew as opposed to my English name)  for whatever reason I was not able to get through to us airways before the flight to change the ticket and due to the fact that my friend made up a birthday on the reservation, the gate agent refused to change the ticket... After 2 tries with tsa I got an agent that completely missed the difference in names. However due to the fact that I had already flown one way when I got through to us airways and tried to change the information for my return flight the system was locking them out. I had them put notes in the system on an updated birthday and name. When I got to the airport the gate agent was also unable to change anything so I took another swipe at tsa. I got passed up to a supervisor who decided to check the no fly list and told me that as long as I cleared thier security check I would be allowed through  halfway through the process of checking her supervisor showed up and told her that she can't let me in even if I did pass the background /no fly list check.  I went back to the ticketing agent who still could do nothing for me. After a couple unsuccessful attempts to get a gate pass. I quickly looked into the option of a refundable ticket to get me through, but I got confused with the T&C's so I decided I would rather be out miles than the money a refundable ticket would gave costed had I been unsuccessful in refunding it. Luckily there was ba availability and I booked right away...

A family member booked a non refundable ticket on vayama flying AF, and KLM. he put in the wrong last name on the ticket. vayama does not want to let him change the name, and insist on making him buy a new ticket. Is there anything else that can be done ? Should he call up the airline themselves to add the right info. onto the ticket ?
