Not sure I agree, (though to be honest, I'm not quite even sure I understand the point you're trying to make).

Had something "similar."

Flew JFK-FRA-JNB-CPT // JNB-FRA-JFK(stop for 4 months)-LAX with four segments in LH F (2 on A380 and 2 on 744 with seat+bed) and a segment on UA P.S. and ended up not paying a red cent (or mile).
