For many people here it's just about grabbing an extra while we're in the store anyways.

Just saying.
Grabbing an extra one without activating is stealing. I drove 2.5 hours to get a bunch and at the end of the day it a real hassle that's not worth it.

I thought some people were able to take them with permission without activating.

Not at the Targets I visited. I tried that and got no where

Instead of spending the time to get a RC try reading more (not just here). Then one day you might understand that getting a RC is like finding a penny on the sidewalk.  ;)
I just found a new supply of forks!

That is why it is so hard to find a penny on the sidewalk nowadays.

I asked and was given permission. As always, YMMV.

Also, some cities are $0 and some cities are $5 for the card -- even before registering with money.

Any difference between asking a CVS employee to take some vr's for later?

Because some people on the bluebird thread objected mightily to that.

its a lot better if the cards are activated in store vs walking out with them unactivated.

If you walk out with them unactivated it will take a lot longer for the system to replenish them since they don't know that that store is out.

Big difference. Here there's no limited quantity in the location I took from.

Another difference: VR is an ongoing thing, whereas once everyone who wants a redcard has one, this'll slow down a lot.
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

Sell your passes on Ebay. Take the money and buy one from AnonymousUser if you really want one.

Thanks for the suggestion. It's an option, but exchanging one for the other is definitely easier if someone has interest.
