Using fake name...

is it illegal to make up a name, like a pen-name, to use for writing anonymous emails? and to make a fake email address with that name?  any thoughts???

As long as you're not trying to impersonate and it's not some famous guy, you should be fine. Maybe take a very common name like Gold, Cohen or Stone.
