Some of them I can't access. Anyways, I paid over the phone where they don't ask for the name.

Not a good idea to add a bank account that is not in your name. If they check this during a FR you will have problems.

Nothing, they just warned me that it's not a good idea to pay out of someone else's account.

really congratulation for passing the F/R we missed this info on the F/R thread    i have bean paying from different accounts for a long time never had a problem though i didnt try to link acc lately though i don't think amex can see who is the acc holder. for sure not a rep over the phone

I thought maybe it's becoming like the airline transfers, where you have to link accounts and names have to match. You never know what Amex has in plan for us.

The best way around this is to add the account via the automated pay by phone system (no names asked), and it should show up on the bank list online.
