As long as you have another Amex card open, You'll still be able to claim Amex Warranty for items purchased on closed card.

Some have had issues lately.

They will give you the money earned when you would have received it if your card was still open.

Assuming you spent in November, you will get the money after the December statement.

I have a few hundred pending reward from October's spending, my statement will close today. I am wondering whether I should call to redeem them or just wait until statement closes. It seems Amex is shutdown everyone.

You should not have a problem getting your money, so should probably just wait.

Yes. As long as it would have posted had the statement been generated, you can get it.

It seems like regardless what happens, if you spent it, you will get the money for it.
