Yes.
As great as it is to live in EY BH, there are ppl who want to be able to see their family which they haven't seen, possibly in many months.

Of course! I'm no bible thumping "everyone should make aliya " guy. Quite the opposite .I just find it ironic that Yidden are stuck in Eretz Yisroel for pesach. Its irony doesn't lessen the problem.

My brother in law sent three of his young kids ahead of the family to EY last week.. now the rest of the family is stuck here for now while they’re there.

He didn't see the news coverage of the upcoming Iran attack last week?
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

You’re preaching to the choir. I guess he didn’t want to cancel their flights over a safek

  • Programs: 1. Search on google. 2. Search in the right board of DDF with a general word or two. 3. Read the wiki. 4. Read the thread. 5. Ask away.

OY! Do they at least have relatives in EY they could go to?
Is there anything us Israeli DDFers can do to help them?

I'm not following the flights thread... But there isn't any fights whatsoever?

A relative of mine, who was supposed to fly on Air Canada today, from Israel - Toronto (which got canceled) found a flight(s) from:
1. Israel - Ethiopia
2. Ethiopia - Athens, Greece
3. Athens, Greece - Montreal
4. Montreal - Toronto

Theres enough canceled flights on "trunk routes" to mess things up greatly. Whats left are multiple stops, and/or high price points. Not always doable expecialy for larger families.
The eastward bound flights are even more chalenging because of the time difference (you can leave EY much closer to shabbos than a flight to EY)

Aha... I don't know the cost of this relatives flight, but I know it was a fortune. Plus it's 2 days travel time...
