they are possibly offering me vouchers good for 1 year. Is that worth taking? Can I sell those to someone else to recoup some of teh funds?

Vouchers in the amount on the ticket?

They're right, you need to deal with your ticketing agent.

It was priceline, and I treid that. They referred me to American airlines. AA just withdrew their voucher offer and a supervisor said since I paid so little she wont cancel the tickets and refund me.

The ticketing agent needs to handle it for you, unless you are getting a refund as an exception. I know with United we can issue the refund for any ticket if delay is more than 2 hours.

The bottom line is to get a knowledgeable agent willing to help. The only time the airline can absolutely not do a refund is when it is a NET fare paid with a check by the agency (they can't see how much you paid for it). Otherwise the airline just doesn't like taking responsibility for tickets not issued by them.

Trying Twitter is always a good idea. (Chucksterrace)

Thanks! I will try Priceline again. This was one of the cheap fares Dan posted in October NY to Mia for about $59 per person. Unfortunately the flight wont work and its for multiple people each way. The agent at the airline knew exactly what I pad but said she just wasnt willing to make the exception.

I don't think that PL can issue you a refund. You have to find a nice rep at AA.
