Eventually you gotta use them somewhere. LH F aint a bad redemption to "waste" them on.
It's a waste when you can just as easily use SQ

And sq you get from MR or UR which are a Lot easier to accumulate then SPG....

Guess I'm still a bit of a newbie. Im toying with the idea of the SPG-Marriott-UA transfer bonus and havent pulled the trigger yet. This exact discussion is eating me. Have specific redemption of NYC-TLV in mind but have better alternatives like AC on LX. Cant seem to get off the fence on this one.

It depends how you value your points vs paying cash, remember you can always use 104k ANA for a RT but you'll have to pay YQ.

Minimal cash outlay is the goal. Also dont want to do RT. Have return mapped out on One World with minimal cash as well.

Least cash would be AC on LX or SK or whichever routing UA gives you.

AA doesnt charge insane fees. The BA-BA flight is more than 3 times as much.

I dont think it has anything to do with that. Fees are 4x as much eastbound with the same flights IIRC.

fuel surcharges are a lot more originating from the us as opposed to originating Israel, however if you would have the UK APD you would be paying an extra $197.60

What's the best way to get to SYD or AKL?  Not asking in terms of least miles, rather what typically has decent availability without waiting too close in.

If I want to book tickets to Florida for December should i book now using points or wait until after Thanksgiving for a better deal? I’m just nervous if I wait it will only cost me more. Is that true?
