I guess my question should be the opposite!

Best way from MAN-JFK, as the YQ is allot higher.
Fees are showing as 169 Pounds ($220).

You'll pay most of it on all carriers, that's UK departure taxes. 10k VS makes sense in both directions.

Any mileage currencies have sweet spots for NYC-AUA or NYC-CUN RT in Y?

If prices are low, might be best to use SW points.

Thomas Cook is $360 and VS with YQ might to be worth it!

UA can get you there for 80K each way. Looks like you could do PIT-ORD-IST-MLE. Not sure what others could book the same.

Also, when I checked, I saw that the PIT-ORD and IST-MLE fly in Y since they don't offer J as far as I can tell.

Here's a fun one, let's hear some ideas- SGN-IAD (could really be NYC also and just a domestic flight to WAS added on.) Extra points given for weird routings and different J/F products.

Np anytime
I think everyone feels the next guy knows more, and would want to give their lowly advice. I'll speak for myself at least.

I'm trying to book a rt ticket from NY to Australia for Tishrei

When using MR as cash value from a Business platinum card, in order to get the 50% rebate does the airline you are booking with need to be your actual selected airline or could you get the 50% back even if it's a different airline as long as the flight is operated by the airline you select? For example Air New Zealand operated by United or Quantas by American.

Thank you

Thank you, in other words it would have to be an actual American Airlines or United flight?

2 adults + 1 infant
Other than UA, any currencies that don't charge hefty YQ?

AC
+1

AC has no YQ on LX. Also, infant is only 100 CAD instead of 10% of published (like most airlines charge).

By far the best way is with Alaska miles.  You need to check availability on BA.com and the alaska reps are also really helpful in the phone.
