that's only if you don't know how to play the game right, if you have a quarter of a brain, then you just vote democratic and make sure to get your wic, food stamps, free phone etc... the list goes on and on- for that you need 3/4 of a brain though!

Which state? Any employees?

If you want to go on exchange, and are healthy, your best bet would probably be to just get catastrophic coverage from a good carrier.

Medicaid (at least in NY) is the Rolls-Royce of medical insurance. It even pays for OTC medications (read tylenol, advil, etc.)

Medicaid doesn't pay for that either.
