If the ACA is bad as you say it is I guess their are protests going on to get rid of it? I guess the polls say it is the most unpopular program? Maybe with all its flaws it still helps more than it hurts?
Or it hurts more than it helps. You don't have numbers one way or another so why do you keep repeating the same meaningless blather?

No I can't back it up because all the numbers are all over the place. Any article I post for or against can be countered with another article.

Just trying to get basic numbers on how many more are covered is impossible. I seen one article about the number of policies that were canceled. What they didn't tell you is that x amount was canceled and y of those were replaced with no loss in coverage.
The same go in the opposite direction. You see numbers of people covered by Obamacare but the numbers don't show that they have losses in coverage as a result of their having needed to switch plans etc.

One of the issues is that much of the lost coverage is something people will not know about until they need it.

Let's at least get the terminology right and irrefutable. Let's just refer to people ENROLLED.
We can call them anything you want since you are hung up on "words".

How many individuals had health insurance before ACA and how many after ACA was enacted. What was the net gain or loss (number of policies) for people (insert your word).

Lets not worry about lives that have been saved.
At whose expense? You have no right to kill innocent people to save others, even if there is a net lives saved.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

The difference is that "having health insurance" is a meanless number if it doesn't give access to the needed healthcare.

You just don't get it. First you need to know how many have health insurance. They you need to know how many of those don't give access to the needed healthcare.

I know that in the case I was talking about it was a statewide thing. Illinois has a population of about 13 million. There are 800,000 more people enrolled in health insurance since Obamacare took affect. prior to Obamacare there were 11.5 million covered. The way it would work if it was the same in IL would be that the 11.5m would ALL lose access to these doctors unless they could pay out of pocket so that the 800,000 would have health insurance.

In the example? Everyone, although I was using IL as an example and do not have facts for that specific state. The case I was referring to meant that EVERYONE in the state lost access to those types of doctors unless they paid OOP.

You don’t pay OOP expenses? Everyone I know does.

Of course not. Does IL have policies that the rest of the country doesn't?

I have no idea about IL specifically and just used it as an example. Each state has its own regulations which can make thing different in the details.

Here again you are making a false assumption equating (or at least conditioning) having health insurance with access to needed healthcare.

FACT: People who are members of Healthshare ministries DON'T have health insurance. Do they have access to needed healthcare?
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

I'm one of those. I lost coverage (aged out of an employer plan), and can't afford a regular one. Will most likely get a catastrophic plan.....

Some of us are aged out of catastrophic plan eligibility. Consider yourself lucky.
