amex points transfer question

the amex site says that it has to be a "linked cardmember"?

Hmmm, I've done other airlines in different names, but not Continental, maybe someone else can weigh in on this.

Link the CO # to your MR account & send it over From MR, it posts instantly. The names don't have to match.

I called up Amex once to transfer to CO they told me the person I'm transferring to is supposed to be linked to my account (Looks like u found an easy way to do that!) but as a one time courtesy they transfered for me anyway.
