Just booked NRT-JFK in business, JL flight 004. According to seatguru it's most common for this route to be flown on 787-8 (788), which is angle-flat business. The better (and clearer) option is the earlier flight to JFK, 006 which is on their 777-300 with the lie-flat sky suite.

I'm happy to change to a flight 006, but i did some research on Flyertalk and poked around JAL and it seems that the sky suite is on flight 004 (it's the other option for this route in seat guru). Does anyone know if skysuite is on 004, or only 006?

This is my first award booking in business so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Why not call them to see what the seats are and that should tell you which plane it is. Or look at the seat map online.

I flew the 730pm flight and we had the lie flat suites.

Thank you, both! I called and confirmed, it's in the lie-flat suites.

How long does it take to transfer SPG to JAL?

For long can you "hold" a JAL partner flight (EK)?

TIA

Officially I don't think so. When I booked with them, they asked me who the other parties on the reservation were. Then again, they didn't ask for proof...

Call AA and ask them for the JAL PNR.

It's true...
