Cheapest way to "parking" an internet domain name
« on: January 08, 2011, 08:55:44 PM »
I want to buy an internet domain name for use down the line. What is the cheapest way to "park" a domain name?
Thanx.

Google go daddy coupons. I just registered a domain name last week for $1.67 (+$10 if you want your info hidden so you dont get spammed) price is per year, some offers are just for the first year but some could be locked in for longer.

Use a virtual card number otherwise they try to auto-renew it.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

@chaikel +1.

If you know what you would like to do with the site, I'd put some keywords on it, so that you get already into the search engines.

You don't need to park the domain. You just need to attach no hosting to it and as long as you own it you will have it available.

It takes a few month to be well introduced within the search engines, so if you know what you plan on doing with it, put already the keywords on it.
