Selling GC tips.

Giftcardgranny.com and giftcardwiki.com are good aggregators for best rates. Be wary of selling on Ebay as buyer can put in a false claim that it was empty and you can get screwed.

Cardpool:
Verification: 415-419-8787 between the hours of 1230pm - 930pm ET. Have your order # ready.
Offers an extra 6% if taken in the form of amazon GC and will also pay quicker than a check.
If you haven't heard from them give them a call it may be stuck in verification. Large total value is a trigger.

GiftCardZen:
Will cancel the full sale if one of the GC are incorrect.

In general if an order gets cancelled, it's possible those gc are *tarnished* and you may have trouble unloading them. It is possible these sites communicate with each other in this regard as well. In this case you can do the PITA method of using the GC to buy/return items and get a new gc issue.

when you sell gcs to cardcash, what prevents the seller from using the gcs after getting the check?

Direct deposit works. Most debit cards that are reloadable can have direct deposit. Thats good. But I still have no clue how to get direct deposit on my card (I know I can cuz they keep offering me to get my paycheck deposited on it...)

You have a debit card without a bank account?
To get direct deposit you need an account number and routing number

Sold a number of cards to CC, 20 total for a payout of $800 (20% off face) and now the sales are "in escalation."  I googled this and it may just be that they want a copy of my drivers license.  I don't have a problem giving them more info... I just hope they aren't scamming my cards.  Anyone have experience with "escalations?"

They are not scamming you they do this whenever they feel there is a higher risk, they will contact you for additional verification.

Yep.  Got in touch with them and they just want me to sign an AML/Fraud waiver and want a copy of my license. NBD.  She was very interested in finding out where I bought the cards (ebay corporate seller).  She asked, so you're just making a very small spread (she didn't think of the CC points)? I responded, "yes, isn't that what you guys do?"  We both laughed.

I have sold to them without any problems at all. Sometimes if I thought it was taking too long I emailed them and they would expedite. But other than that its been fine.

When selling them physical gift cards, who pays to ship them to cardcash?
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

do I need a fancy padded envelope? Or just a regular envelope with an extra stamp?
(For let's say 1 or 2 GCs)

Regular envelope with one stamp is fine just tape the sides so of the envelope so it doesn't rip in transit and fall out

Or tape it to a paper inside the envelope.
