Book a Delta flight with Flying Blue miles - does Delta Skymiles status help?

I want to use 50000 Flying Blue miles to book a round trip nonstop Delta flight from JFK to TLV. Will my Delta Platinum Elite status help me in any way? For example, can I get on the upgrade list for a chance to get a seat in a higher class cabin (as I would if I had purchased the ticket or used Delta Skymiles to book the award)?

There's no upgrade list NY-TLV, no matter where you bought it.

There's only op-ups in case of oversold Y.
